The past year brought some exciting changes to campus. As you may have heard, SIU has undergone an academic reorganization that will be finalized this summer. Therefore, I want to formally welcome you to the College of Health and Human Sciences!
You are receiving this newsletter because you are a graduate of a program that is now in the College of Health and Human Sciences. The formation of the College of Health and Human Sciences was effective July 1, 2020. We are the largest academic college on the Carbondale campus, and we are growing! We offer three associate degrees, 24 baccalaureates with 28 degree specializations, 17 minors, 16 master’s degrees, two undergraduate and four graduate certificates, and four Doctor of Philosophy degrees.

Alumni often ask me how they can help with SIU’s recruitment efforts. The Recruit Salukis Alumni Volunteer program is a wonderful way for you to share all of the things that make SIU great.
Through this initiative, alumni volunteer to write a postcard to prospective students who applied to the same program from which they graduated. Our Undergraduate Admissions office will send you all of the necessary supplies. If you would like to get involved in the Recruit Salukis Alumni Volunteer program, you just need to submit an online program volunteer form.
Mark your calendars: SIU Day of Giving is March 3. SIU Homecoming Week is Oct. 10-16, 2021. That Saturday, the SIU Salukis will take on the University of North Dakota Fighting Hawks. I hope to see you there!
