Tamara Kang - Tracking Dynamic Intervention Needs

May 15, 2023

An article co-authored by Tamara Kang, assistant professor, School of Psychological and Behavioral Sciences, has been selected as the “Editor’s Choice” for the American Psychological Association’s scientific director newsletter, PsycNet. The article, “Tracking Dynamic Intervention Needs as a Vehicle for Mitigating Risk Among Juveniles with Sex Offenses” can be found in the May issue of the APA journal Psychology, Public Policy and Law. The paper highlights research by Kang and colleagues that indicates that the Youth Needs and Progress Scale (YNPS) they created is more effective and beneficial than current risk assessments for juvenile sex offenders and society.
