Four Fashion Design Students to Participate in "Fashion Week Adventure"
January 25, 2016
Four of our FDM (Fashion Design and Merchandising) students, Brooke Cleary, Joslyn Jenkins, Victoria Mitchell and Aimee Lepla, have all been selected, out of 20 openings, to participate in the first ever, Banson NYC "Fashion Week Adventure," Friday, February 12 - Tuesday, February 16, 2016. Our students will work with Season 5, "Project Runway" contestant Leanne Marshall first-hand, and will assist and style for eight other New York Fashion Week fashion shows. While in New York, CASA student will explore 5th Avenue shopping, visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art to view the Costume Institute Exhibition of Jacqueline de Ribes, learn and recreate MAC makeup looks for the models on the runway, attend Styling seminars, participate in a three-hour tasting tour, explore SoHo, visit the Museum at FIT, see the Broadway Show, "Kinky Boots" and much more, all while being chaperoned, the entire five days by Tommy Hillfiger's sister, Betsy Hilfiger! This will be a "life-changing" experience and lead to more opportunities for our students.
