From the Dean: A Season of Celebration at CHHS
The fall is always an exciting time to be on a college campus, and that is especially true at beautiful SIU Carbondale. Enrollment at SIU grew by 2.3%, which represents the first overall enrollment increase since 2014. The College of Health and Human Sciences contributed significantly to this overall growth as we grew by a whopping 6.1%.

After Wrongful Imprisonment in Philippines, SIU Prof Uses Research to Advocate for Reforms
Seven long years in a Philippines jail – accused of a crime he didn’t commit, which the court there would eventually clear him of – taught SIU researcher Raymund Narag that in some justice systems the process itself is the punishment. Now his work focuses on preventing such abuses from befalling others.
